Has anyone removed an alarm from a Jonway yy250t 250cc water cooled scooter. I have a 2010. What wires do I have to jump to allow the scooter to continue working.

i have a yy250t with 300 miles on it now... i was going to take the alarm out .. initially... i did *test* it to see that it worked.. the instruction page had my eyes glassy... ive seen tv remotes that were less involved... it occurred to me that the remote starter/alarm system.. and the key system.. are unaware of each other... and if you begin with one.. its best to end with one.. i.e., if you start your scooter with the remote... you better shut it off with the remote... so rather than open a can of worms.. i simply put the remotes on a shelf.. out of range.. and have not used them.. scooter has worked like a charm ... starts every time.. (key start)... battery seems to be holding up well... no remote system drain...

For the life of me I have never figured out why a scooter needs a remote start. Maybe to impress those with out a remote! A remote on a car might be used to warm up the inside of it on a cold day...but on a scooter? If it cold enough to need a remote on a car I damn sure won't be riding a scooter. And what happens when you start it from inside the house and set the remote down to put on gloves and forget to sick it in your pocket, ride 10 miles to work and are almost late?

OK, I jumped the b/w and br/w wires on the scooter side plug to the alarm. Now with the kill switch in the kill position; when I turn my key to the lock position I blow the 15 amp fuse going to the battery. Could this be a bad ignition switch?

OK, the directions were (in the order of jumping): 1. A Brown/White and a Black/White wire 2. Or 2 Black and White wires 3. Or A Grey and a Pinkish wire.
I know I jumped the Brown/White and Black/White wires. What are these two wires supposed to be servicing? Maybe mine are different colors. Or, should I just look for the next combination of wires to jump (e.g. Grey and Pinkish)?

I removed the jumper I had on the brown/white and black/white wires. The main fuse stopped blowing and I was able to start the scooter; for a little while at least. If I can get the scooter running again I might just leave that jumper off. If not, I'll see if I can rig up a relay to make that "jump" only in the "on" position of the ignition switch.

Good,,, I knew you crossed something,,, the way these machines are wired,, color obviously means nothing to the makers,,, if it were mine I would physically chase down the wires to see origin and final termination,,, I believe this is the only way to be certain in my book

Where is the final termination supposed to be?
