How'd ya do this year? I like to get one deer a year, I have done it most, but not every year. I like hunting from a blind with my smoke pole. Some times I do good, Some times I don't. Then there's times when they just make fun of me.

I stalk but I also cheat,,, I wear an old tee shirt for a couple days at work,,, get it nice and ripe,,, then cut it up into small squares about 2x2 then when it's just about season I'll hike the area to get the lay of the land and put a square in trees along the way,,,, the deer get used to my smell and makes it easier for me,, I don't have to watch the wind so much,,, I've literally had them walk up to me,,,

I don't deer hunt but I have a love for flint. Am working on a short barrel french fusil design this winter. If I liked the taste of venison I would be out there!

I like hunting with a smoke pole. I like the fact that I need to be close, that I have one shot and have to make a clean kill. I have let more deer walk then I have dropped. I won't drop the hammer unless I get a side shot where I can get both lungs. I set up my blinds and the feeder so that I can get the shot I want. I understand what jct842 said, I don't hunt turkey because I don't like the taste of them. We have a lot of game here in Kentucky and it helps fill the freezer. I spent 40+ years out west and like the hunting rules here. I'm over 65 so I pay $5.00 for my hunting and fishing license. I can hunt on my own land with out a hunting license, just have to call in my kills. We are allowed 4 deer a year and one can be a buck. I like doe better, their easier to field strip, but if a buck comes by with 6 or more points, I'll drop it. I try to get one a year just to prove to myself that I can still do it, just in case the . On another note, does anybody throw a hawk? It's just a hobby that won't ever come in handy for anything, but the Wife and I just enjoy it. 1. 2. The Wife. The Wife is from New Zealand and likes the freedom we have in this country, she thinks she is now a Kentucky Mountain Woman. She does help with the deer and get the firewood. I think she has become a Mountain Woman.

Bring your tent and come on over for a visit. I came from Nuevo, it's by Hemet, Perris, Lake Elsinore. A lil south of you but darn near a neighbor.

In ar. anyone over 65 can get a lifetime license, hunting/fishing. State charges so much for this and so much for that. I took every thing they offered and as I remember it cost me all of $40. You can take multiple deer here but I could not tell you how many. I get them in the yard all the time, I have 5 acres, fenced to keep the dog home. One night about 2:00 me and my great Pyrenees dog sitting on the back porch had five of them eating acorns less than 25 30 feet away. Any thing I feed or allow to feed is part of the crew as far as dog is concerned.

Yep, that is a 50 cal TC Hawken,I built it for her but it was to big and to heavy for her, heck,, it's darn as long as she is tall. So I sold that one to my cuz. I fire a 54 cal, it was a 50 that I put a Green Mountain barrel on it. Green Mountain makes NICE barrels. It likes 75 grains of Pyrodex RS for my best POI. I make my own round balls. If you ever want to try something diff, put a Nose Touch on yours. Talking about pin point accuracy. Clicky.

I find this saying works with all I reload or shoot.
Less powder, more lead, shots far, kills dead. More powder, less lead, kicks hard, wide spread.

The man that invades Cyborg's domicile will be vaporized by weapons heretofore unknown to the public. I would not mess with this man, no way, no sir. He has a gun, entirely legal, that shoots a $9.00 bullet. It disturbs the dirt in front of the gun and of course a 1/2 mile away. If the end is neigh I want Pete on my squad.
