I gotta guy that wants to sell me a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 year 2009. I'm not sure if it's classic or custom but it's got 3K miles. I don't think he knows squat about the price of bikes and he wants to unload it. What should I offer him. It's never been down and it's been serviced. Rich

I've never seen the bike but by all descriptions it's pristine. He wants to get rid of it because a friend of ours was killed taking his friend's Harley around the block. T boned by an intoxicated 65 Y/O who had been arrested before. It has a lot of the bike community freaked out around Talladega. It bothers me too but I'm not going to stop riding. I'll see if I can get some pics. Rich

sometimes projecting disinterest helps or expressing if it were a really good deal , too good to pass up . That has brought sellers to offer at take it prices .

If he really wants to get rid of it that bad, then offer him $1,000. You'll get one of 3 responses. 1. He'll take it. 2. He'll laugh in your face. 3. He'll make a counter offer.
Have an attitude of helping him out when you make the offer.

I would jump on it or at least check it out. I have been looking on craigs list and them people who place ads there are insane. Some one else thinks so too. this was posted a few days ago there: ................................................................................................... Motorcycle Price Over priced Junk I laugh at asking prices for bikes these days. Both KBB And Nada will tell you what your bike is worth within a pretty fair range, give or take. Obviously a bike with 10k worth of extras won't fit into this category. So asking $3000 for a bike that doesn't run or drive that is valued at $1500 in 100% Perfect condition is just odd. Must be the Missouri meth. Anyways, feel free to use these tools, as your bike may sell quicker. Cheers. do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers post id: 4892108110 posted: 3 days ago updated: 2 hours ago .................................................................................. springfield.craigslist.org/mcy/4892108110.html

The guy has been too busy to get in touch with because he works for the water department. They are all on duty because of the cold temps around here. I'm going to try tomorrow and get more info on the bike.
