50cc NO HEADLIGHT TURN SIGNAL OR BRAKE LIGHTS By fastrax (Read 1,436 times)

We have a customers scooter in the shop, it is an NST YY50QT-6. Here is what doesn't work: headlight (high or low beam), turn signals, brake light. After it starts the tail light lights up, the dash lights come on & the running lights beside the head light come on. I know the brake light switches work because you have to apply the brakes to make it start. Anyone have any ides where to start looking on this thing. We have tried new stop light bulb & turn signal bulbs.

Looks like the scoot popped a fuse that feeds the front of the bike,,,,,,is there an inline fuse on the main? oor check the main period and all feeds off of it

Sounds like a ground. reason? head lamp is ac as a rule and brake light is dc. unless more than one problem it is some thing common.

I'm with cyborg on this one . . . sounds very familiar, I had a similar situation on one and it turned out to be the in-line fuse inside the battery box!

I am with John on this one, since the starter works when you squeeze the brake to start it and it spins the starter, THAT means you are getting 12Volts from the battery to the KeySwitch so it is NOT the fuse coming off the Battery going to the Key Switch.
Also press the horn it should work. So I would look for a BAD GROUND Green Wires going to the light sockets. OR bad 12volts going to the lights that wire is usually GREEN/YELLOW.
