I had some wires melt on me and fried the brake switch because I didn't have a fuse.i wired it so it would start without the brake switch.the brake light was always on.i rewired it and got a new switch.i put this lawn mower solenoid in and wonder if this is my problem.hope this pic gets posted and someone can tell me is there constant power or whats going on

You put the mower solenoid in before the meltdown? Or after

In our library you should be able to find a diagram of the wiring for a generic scooter that matches yours. If you don't have a multi-meter get one and learn to use it. Wiring across a fuse is a good way to smoke the whole scooter.

Yikes dude.

1. Hello, nice to meet you.

2. Post a picture of YOUR bike. We need to see it to really know what you're working with.

3. Gotta have lots of pictures of the wires and stuff.

4. Swapping the solenoid from a different engine was not a good idea. It might be a similar rating, but probably not.
5. Any time you plan on messing with the wiring, ask first. Electricity is very picky about how you hook it up.

I fixed it by accident.i figured I get a new solenoid and when I went to plug it in I noticed they were melted all the way to the clip.it starts and operates normal.thanks for the help people
