Clean that sucka! It needs a bath.
If the carb is that bad, imagine the rest of the fuel system. And now I go back to my favourite chant....
Seafoam.
Yep, Seafoam.
Try Seafoam.
Many have used Seafoam with good results...
Seafoam it damn-nit.
Seafoam?
Seafoam!
SEAFOAM YOU LOLO!
and on and on and on....

I have one of those with the LE8P VIN prefix. The carb Alleyoop links to should work for either one. The motor on these is a clone of the one used on the Honda Rebel 250. (233cc) These carbs come of easy and are easy to clean. I had to clean mine a second time to get it to idle without a little bit of choke on so take your time and do a thorough job the first time.

Just clean the carb you really do not need another carb: Alleyoop Usually what gets clogged up if fuel is left to long without running is the PILOT JET and its passage and the TINY HOLES by the BUTTERFLY. The Main Jet is pretty big so that is usually not the problem. It is very easy to clean out the carb just take the carb off and take the carbs float bowl off usually about 4 strews. Get a Spray Can of Carb Cleaner they come with a long thin straw to get into small holes and it creates good pressure. 1. Unscrew the Pilot Jet and Main Jet and clean them make sure you can see DAYLIGHT through them. 2. Then Stick the Thin Straw into the holes the JETS came out of and SPRAY. THIS IS USUALLY THE PROBLEM THE PILOT JET AND THE TINY PILOT JET FUEL OUTLETS BY THE BUTTERFLY.

Is it a vertical or horizontal engine? It's the vertical twin just like the Honda Rebel, side by side twin. I will try cleaning again, I did it once but may have missed the jets mentioned. Sense reading these posts about where to clean I think I may have, I did clean uot the tank and fuel lines. It starts for a second and quits like the float bowl empties. That may be it. Thanks everyone for the help, I really can't afford to replace and the bike only has 35 miles on it. O-ya, Seafoam, Seafoam, Seafoam. Damn-nit Seafoam I will.
