I have a heck of a front end wobble. It starts at about 12mph and is gone at about 19 mph. Any ideas?

Hobb's, I'd start with the tire. It comes and goes with changing speeds so that sounds like a bad tire to me. Check for bubbles, warps, twists and separated belts.

Ok, nothing loose in the front end. Tire is ok on the width (both sides) but it is out of round maybe 1/8". So that has got to be it.

Its the tire if it comes and goes away at certain speeds and since you already know it is out of round you can live with it since it only happens from 12 to say 20 mph. Alleyoop

So, either the tire is going bad, or the wheel is bent. Get yourself a ruler/yardstick and check it for roundness. A bad tire, easy fix. A bent rim, still easy, just a pain in the wallet.

It is most likely out of balance and when they are they will shimmey at certain speeds so have it balanced. If something was bent it would shake rattle and roll at all speeds. Alleyoop

Mornin cyborg, I was told that the old man (93 years old) that had it before us, put it in a ditch. That's why it only had 200+ miles on it when we got it. I think it scared him after that and that is why he gave it to the Wife. All in all tho. it runs nice, with the help of y'all. I can live with the wobble for a while, it's not bad.
