Hello, everybody! We've recently acquired a new addition to our scooter arsenal, a 2009 Hyosung Sense (2-stroke). And so far the biggest issue we have had with it is that it is leaking oil quite badly, going through almost all of its oil within a 10 mile ride....
All the oil is dripping out and hitting the exhaust, as well as getting all over the underside of the scooter. We cannot seem to pinpoint the leak. Anybody have any experience with these bikes? They're not easy to take apart, the plastic seems to be of very high quality and the seat bucket is actually welded in place..
Any suggestions?
Also, does anyone know how they scooters are restricted? We hit 35 MPH and the motor will not go above that

There is a restrictor in the CVT and one in the muffler.
If it's leaking oil like that, then something major is wrong. I'd almost bet the block is cracked. Replaceable on a scoot, not so easy on a car....

It may be the feed line from the tank to the injector or there may be a crack in the tank itself,,, my money is on the feed line

You could always just premix and forget the oil tank

My first scooter blew oil all over the engine bay and used up a quart in no time. After I adjusted the valves, it stopped blowing oil out of the valve cover. I am guessing my exhaust valve was open at the wrong time and was pressurizing the valve cover.

My guess is still a cracked oil reservoir to injector feed line

I say just light the thing on fire. If it still runs after that, it's a quality scooter.
