I have an 8 pole stator and plan on upgrading to an 11 pole. Can I use the same flywheel or do I have to change it also? They are the same size and look identical. I'm not sure on the number of magnets in the 11 pole flywheel though.

You use the 8 pole flywheel JOHN(TVANCMAN) checked them out and tested how many magnets an 11 pole set had and it had 8. Move a little piece of metal inside and count the number of magnets.

And you know what else? the 12 and (special 18 pole) stator use the same 8 pole flywheel. However, you can NOT use an 6 pole stator with an 8 magnet flywheel.... Nor can you use a 6 magnet flywheel on an 8, 11 , 12 or 18 pole.

Thanks guy's. I know you cant use a 6 pole stator with an 8 pole flywheel. Just wasn't sure on the 11 pole stator and didn't have time to test them today.
