OK - some of you may have seen this over on SD. I'm recycling my first vid of the year. March 21 was the anniversary of my move from a 150cc to the Xpeed 250i. It was a great day so I went for an anniversary ride. I had to split the video for photobucket. "Part 1" is side streets, back roads, rough roads and crater dodging. "Part 2" is a 60 mph run up the 4 lane including (OMG!) passing a cager with a scoot. Sorry about the quality, shooting through plastic doesn't give the best pix. I ran out of memory before I got home.

CC, that is a SMOOTH running scoot! I'm impressed. So was that a helmet video cam or what. What kind was it? I think you said you had an RCA Small Wonder too if I remember right. Anyway, great video, looks like you had a helluva time. Rich

Rich - are you talking about the apparent smoothness of the video?
My wife has one like yours but we also have 2 Jazz DV151's. That's what I use. I have a belt holster for my GRS hand held radio. I turn the thing on, put it in the holster then clip it to the neck of my jacket. Gives a more solid mount than on the helmet. Downside is that I'm shooting thru the curvature of the windscreen so there's distortion. Working on that.
After I download to the pc, I use MovieMaker to edit out the parts I don't want.
My son has a cheap helmet cam and says they're really not very good - this thing and yours will do better.

I meant your scooter, the thing runs smooth as silk. I love the sound of a good running motor. Rich

Generally speaking it does. Occasionally, it will cut out at a stop or going down hill. I need to play with that. The EFI helps I'm sure. It's actually an impressive setup - 24.7 hp, quad valve, DOHC plus the EFI.

Before I bought my Matrix II, I sat on an Xpeed. In fact, the Xpeed was the UM scooter that dealer had when i first visited. It was definitely a nice solid bike, but I just found it a little cramped. I'm a little tall at 6'-2". The bump in the seat was too far forward and my knees were in the dash. Surprisingly, once they finally got a Matrix II in their show room, it felt like a larger bike. Looking back at the past 18 months drama with my Matrix, I probably should have bought the Xpeed and modified the seat and maybe raised the handlebars.

You've got a couple inches on me (5' 11") and you're right, it does feel a little cramped. I'm thinking of added foot pegs to help with the legs. I usually don't feel it much until I've got about miles in. I didn't feel it much with the old Matrix 150 but the seat was higher.
