Ok since the Ebay thread seems to be getting off to a good start lets get a good one going on those Craigslist deals we all come across. I'm waiting!

I'm in SW MI, I'm currently looking for a 150cc with Mint body. A scuff here or there may be okay, but no cracks in the panels. I do not care about the engine condition as long as it's present...Non-running preferred (to save on cost).... I want a moped with at least 12" wheels, no turtles. Something like a hunter phantom style would be best. It must have the title. I also do not care if it has electrical issues... Good body w clean title. I can travel within reason. I am willing to pay $200~400.00 depending upon what it is. If someone comes across this deal, please send me a PM. If you find me deal I'm looking for and I can negotiate to anything under $275.00, I will give a $25.00 finder fee. I can give references from within the community, my word is solid. If I say I will do something, I will do it. This is a legit finders fee if the deal is successful. thanks. This is the style of scoot I'm looking for:

Your local Craigslist is a great way to shop for a new to you ride. My current rides were both purchased on Craigslist, 2004 Yamaha V Star 1100 and my 2003 Silver Wing Trike. Happy with both and price was right

Around here, Appleton, WI, those kind of rides would go for $600. I wouldn't pay that and don't think you would either.

Too bad. We have lots of those here. Shipping would kill you though.

That Burg is a pretty good deal. If it's real clean I would agree but I'm betting if a man waved 13 of them $100 bills in his face he would jump on it?

18 is wholesale.....so anything less gets into "good deal' territory. 13 would be the "tits"

Go jump on the Burgy with both feet. As long as it runs and rides well, wave some greenbacks at him and take it home. It's a good deal, even if it's got 20k or 30k on it.
Be ready, it's much heavier than a regular scoot.

Be ready, it's much heavier than a regular scoot. Would love too but you mentioned weight? Right now I'm dealing with a torn rotor cuff in the right shoulder, doing rehab now. Doctor is talking shoulder replacement for several reasons, I'm not sure I could hold it up.
Other reason is I'm scooter poor now and my better half might not like seeing another scooter in the garage! But I watch the deals on Craigslist some, one to see what some people think they can get for a scooter and two if I ever did run across a real bargain and thought I could make a turn around buck I'd jump on it. Where I live the road has endless traffic this time of year with people going and coming from the State Park on top of the mountain, you can have a ton of people from all parts of the country see something for sale and move it quickly. When I put my 98 S-10 out there one morning it sold for cash money in less than 2 hours.
One of these days I'll see a real bargain and make a buck just like this. If I thought I could grab that Burg for 13 bills I would sit it on the side of the road for the same 18 bills he's asking and make a sale.

JR, do that 6 times in one year and PA will require you to get your dealers license!! Yea we call them wildcatters here. Generally out in the boonies where I live sales like this go unnoticed for the most part. Besides with all I have going raising grandkids and such I'll not be lucky enough to do many if I even found a good deal on Craigslist, but I do keep looking. Winter time slows for me and a couple of fix er ups ready for spring would be cool.
You take that Burgy for instance, if I bought it with the intention of selling it I would have the seller sign the title and never title it in my name and just have the buyer from me fill in his info and sign as the new owner, out of sight out of mind!

If you bought the burgman, i'm betting that you would put a couple of other things out for sale just to keep it..
