So I got a bms 150cc supersport last year and I ran it all summer and some of the winter however I let it sit for about 3/4 months and it wouldn't start. I ended up pulling and cleaning the carb but when I put it back on i guess i messed something up as now it won't start. I have messed with the air screw and the fuel screw but it still won't go. I can get it to start drive for a half mile or so and them it cuts out. And if I give it gas it just cuts out. When I did the carb I replaced all the vacuum lines the fuel filter and the fuel lines from the tank. Can anyone explain why this is happening? Also I live in a high elevation in lake tahoe Nevada.

First are you sure you are getting good fuel flow to the carb? I ask because I just recently had a similar problem. I went through the full process of completely cleaning my carb and fuel tank. During reassembly I noticed the line from the tank to carb had a kink in it. The carb would suck up all in the carb's bowl then die. The slow trickle would refill it after a few hours.
Next question would be how does the spark plug look after you can get it to run? That would tell you if the engine is running rich or lean.

You may have a tank venting issue,,,get it running and when it dies turn the fuel tank cap off if you hear air rush into the tank that's what it would be

I have just replaced the fuel lines and there aren't any kinks in it, it's perfectly straight with just enough slack that unless you move the carb it stays on. I actually had to buy a new gas cap because the one it came with when I bought it from the guy was held on by duct tape. The one I have isn't great and barely fits. Could that simple lack of a perfect seal be it?

The gas tank HAS TO VENT, so if it is venting that is NOT the problem. From what you are saying is as soon as it warms up maybe 10 minutes and it dies is that what is happening? You say you cleaned the carb which was sitting for 3/4 months which varnished up the carbs fuel TINY OUTLETS by the Butterfly. So take the carb off again and SPRAY INTO THE PILOT JET and check if Spray comes out by the Tiny Fuel Outlets by the Butterfly. It may be that it only runs when the ENRICHER is feeding it fuel and once it shuts off the extra fuel it dies. Alleyoop

I will pull it out again and see if I missed that. I did a pretty thorough clean I thought but I will try it. Will the fuel enriched come on if there is no computer hooked up? All the wires were clipped when I got it. The guys I bought it from were sketchy haha. But I will give it a try and report back. There is a hose that leads to a screw under my transmission thay looks almost like a vacuum line. When I unscrewed it a little oil came out is that normal?

Ok the Enricher is not plugged in will ALWAYS be retracted and ALWAYS feed fuel and never shut the extra fuel off. I think pictures of the CARB AREA and hoses is in order since you got this in pieces from what you are saying.
PICTURES ARE WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS. Alleyoop
