I was given a free scooter for my son after he wrecked my truck and it just stalls. We thought it was the battery so we bought a new 84.oo battery and it is still doing same thing. It will start and run and then just dies out. Almost like it stops getting fuel. Any suggestions.

Valves need to be checked, could also be a carb thats gunked up. Which scooter is it, a 50 or a 150? Need a better description of how it acts and how long it runs before it quits.

Jct is on it,,, after warmup if it slowly dies at idle its generally a tight valve lash condition or you may want to check when it happens again crack the fuel tank fill cap ,,, if you hear air suck in you have a tank venting issue

I was going to say tank venting, but cyborg got that one. Could be a badly routed fuel line also.
