Yep if it tries to start better with the fuel ratio mixture all the way in IT MEANS TO MUCH FUEL. The pilot jet is to big What size is the PILOT JET. AT this point the MAIN JET(which is 115) has nothing to do with it. Now it could be that the PILOT JET is ok but the PLUG GETS FOULED due to the MAIN JET being to big. But if it starts better with the screw all the way in and a lot of air it means it is getting to much fuel on the low end and your pilot jet is way to big. If it's a 150 the pilot jet should be #35 no bigger than a #38. And I have to say a #38 only if you put in a BIG arse BBK. Alleyoop
SO CHECK THE PILOT JET SIZE.

Ok since it is a #35 Then check the VACUUM HOSE that is attached to the PETCOCK and just take it off by the intake manifold and check if it is wet it should be dry. The petcock may be allowing fuel to flow through the vacuum hose if so replace the petcock. Other than that the only other thing would be the carb is flooding and or the AIR FILTER is clogged and or fuel of oil or something and not allowing enough air. Alleyoop

WHAT NO AIR FILTER AT ALL. It should be running really lean but if not then a lot of fuel is being dumped to foul the plug out and having the fuel ratio screw turned clockwise until it stops for it to start. YOU DO KNOW WHICH IS THE FUEL RATIO SCREW RIGHT? YOU are NOT TALKING ABOUT THE IDLE SPEED SCREW RIGHT? I have to ask I do not know how much you know about the different carbs.
Was the carb changed to a bigger carb if not, put your hand just near the air intake and crank it and your palm should get a lot of fuel blown on it. Can you get some pictures of the carb area and hoses on this beast.

Sorry double posted...and yes the af screw if I'm sitting on the scoot is on the left side not the top right screw lol. And yes when I put my hand over the carb intake gas splashes it and it sounds like its flooded out then I open throttle wide open and it will start after a few turn overs. I'm not a mechanic by far I've just learned from trial and error but my brother has been under hoods since he could walk and he is just scratching his head on this. Ill try to get pics tom. Its dark here already. Just hoping I can get it running to get to work tom lol

As far as I know I put the same carb on just newer pd24 or something like that. And I'm using yellow fuel line for my hoses but the new carb came with some cheapo hoses ill put them on see if any difference. Thank you again ally. I kniw its a pain not being aboe to be hands on.

HAHAHA, Ok so you do know about the fuel ratio screw and idle speed screw. Yep that sucker is flooding and with no air filter to boot. Ok only a couple things will cause that. 1. The float is not shutting off the fuel when the carb bowl is full and is causing the carb to flood. Which may be the problem and is easy enough to test. This is the float system: 2. The scoot has an oversized Carb(WAS A BIGGER CARB PUT ON if so what SIZE). 3. The Fuel Ratio Point has broken off and is NOT shutting off much of anything when it is turned clockwise. 1. Testing the float: Take the carb off put a piece of hose on the fuel inlet and hold the carb like in this picture and BLOW into the hose and "GENTLY" push the float forward and it should stop the air your blowing into the fuel inlet from coming out. 2. Either get a SMALLER Pilot Jet or put the 24mm carb back on. 3. Take the Fuel ratio screw completely out and make sure it has a point. Alleyoop

Ok ill try that out. The af needle is three tiered is that right. I got it to start by doing the hand over carb then removing it. But when I shut off a cloud of grey slash white smoke came out exhaust..smh

Um what's the bottom surface?....and a side question I put the piston in with the "in" facing up but I read the deeper hollow should go for exhaust. And the deeper one on min is below the IN marking. If I put it in upside down how would it run. Would it sould really bad?
