try a new plug,,,i've seen them work fine out in the open and not work in the combustion chamber under pressure

I will make a video going through everything this weekend. I had a question if the enricher is bad could that cause it to not start? Just a shot in the dark I think I asked before but is it possible to be 180 out on scooters?

I will make a video going through everything this weekend. I had a question if the enricher is bad could that cause it to not start? Just a shot in the dark I think I asked before but is it possible to be 180 out on scooters? Pretty hard to be off 180 reason is the SPARK PLUG FIRES TWICE once on the compression stroke and once on the exhaust stroke. So NO, If you align the timing mark and align the cam it is on TDC no matter what. Best you can do to screw it up a little is by being 1 or two teeth off when putting the chain on the cam sprocket. Other way is if the woodruff key gets damaged and allows the flywheel to rotate on the crank shaft. Everytime the FLYWHEEL ROTATES 360 degrees and the Magnet passes under the PICKUP COIL the CDI SENDS VOLTAGE TO THE COIL to Fire the plug. The Enricher all that does BY DEFAULT WHEN COLD is allows EXTRA FUEL to be sucked into the motor for COLD STARTING. Once the motor starts voltage is then sent to the ENRICHER and as it heats up it melts the gel inside and pushs out the plunger to cut off the extra fuel. So as long as the motor is running the ENRICHER PLUNGER is extended and no extra fuel is allowed to be sucked out. But even if the enricher is not feeding extra fuel you are squirting fuel into the intake and it still DOES NOT POP even once. That actually points to the plug not firing and or firing but not in the chamber. Alleyoop

Ok I know my spark is good I mean I can hold it about an inch from the head and ot jumps to it. And its a nice blueishwhite.now dont I want it tobspark a lil before top dead center. When its compressing? Or right at tdcil

Ok it wont let me upload pics. But when im at tdc should the piston be flush with the top of the jug or have a small space between the top of piston and the top of jug. My old jug had a ring around the top of the jug like a black one

My old jug had a ring around the top of the jug like a black one Yes, the Piston Should be Flush with the Top of the cylinder. Nothing (-.000) in the Hole and Nothing .000) Out of the Hole. This should maintain stock compression ratio. If that Piston is/was way down in the Hole you'd have pretty serious (-.020 or so) Compression Loss. I dunno if your seeing were the Top Ring was at TDC or ?? it will leave a Black Ring down in the Cylinder.

Ok ill try flush. I just thought it might need a lil room cuz with it having a lil gap it is right were the magnetic square is about to pass under the magneto ill try to get the pics up to show u

Ok since im going back over everything. I decided to look at my rings. I got a black one with squared of edges that I had in the middle and a black with silver around the wall of it thats has rounded edges that I had on top.because I had read the lighter one should go on top. But now after seeing the edges im wondering is that backwards? Shouldn't the squared edges be the compression ring because it will seal better then rounded off edges?

Im jst seeing a black box. But I put the squared edged ring at the top and hooked it all up. When I start it trys to turn over with smoke pouring out the exhaust. I i got valves at four.

Just take a straw put it in the spark plug hole and turn the engine over by hand, when it is at the top of stroke on the compression stroke the 3 holes in cam sproket will show, small ones level with top of head and large one at very top of sprocket. Have to rock back and forth to find top dead center as piston movement is small at top of stroke.
