You are a 100% right. And I fudged it up. But im sticking with it. Mistakes just make us better when we learn from it. I. Would like to ask which valve is supposed to open first. Intake or exhaust?

DOn't worry about that, it all depends on what stroke the motor is on which valve opens up and which is closed. Bring the Piston up to TDC Mark the flywheel where the pointer is pointing to THEN set the CAM in aligned and MAKE SURE when putting on the chain the FLYWHEEL DOES NOT MOVE also the cam chain should have the slack on top, the Chain Tensioner will take up the slack.

1. LINE UP THE TIMING ON THE FLYWHEEL LIKE THIS: YOU DO NOT WANT IT POINTING CLOSER TO THE "F" MARK. 2. LINE UP THE CAM SPROCKET LIKE THIS: RECHECK THE TIMING POINTER ON THE FLYWHEEL MAKE SURE IT DID NOT MOVE when putting the chain on the cam sprocket. THEN MARK THE CHAIN AND THE TOOTH LIKE IN THE PICTURE, YOU CAN MAKE A SCRATCH on it whatever but this way you know where the timing is.

Ok, crank it over again and take the plug out and see if it is WET OR DRY. Also did you check for spark by holding the plug ON THE VALVE COVER?

Well it can only be a couple things If it is timed and it is getting spark. 1. Fuel problem a. to much b. to little 2. Low on compression
Also the muffler and pipe should be on as well as the air filter so the carb can be adjusted properly.

When you think you have it timed right take a picture of the FLYWHEEL TIMING POINTER and CAM SPROCKET.
I mean you CANNOT BE THAT FAR OFF BRO!!

Just a wild thought......is the cam chain tensioner set right? Reason I bring it up is when piston is top dead center, flywheel on the mark, and the sprocket is lined up what else could be off or changing except the tensioner being loose or messed up.
