Well in the interest of not wanting to wait till Moses comes back while I'm waiting for the genuine g400c which is supposedly to be released by March of 2016 I'm still looking for a standard motorcycle that's not all plastic body parts and laying down to ride,,,I came across a very super clean ultra low mile Ducati 750 monster ,,,just emailed the seller let's see what happens,,,,,I still have my peepers poppin for a clean bmwr1150r as well,,,either one will fit the bill ,,,

I just love them things that look like an artist from a futurama comic book designed to keep 12 year old boys happy! (not) And then there are the bikes you assume the same position as in a chase lounge to ride! So low you would have to take a 45mph curve at 30 to stay on the road. And people actually buy that $hit too.

I was talking bikes of the hd persuasion ,,,the owners lower them so much they can't even lean into corners,,,kinda silly and self defeating

Was watching a clip with a low harley a few months ago that went from sparks to sliding on its side going so slow a 90cc honda trail bike could have passed him in the same curve!
The lower the center of gravity the greater angle you have to lean a bike at to get it aound the curve.
The harley people tell you "it rides like it was on rails" but neglect to say thats going in a straight line.

It's why I bought the '83 Spectre. Even the "Standard" bikes today smack of crotch rocket with the plastics off. I like the Nighthawk for the same reason. I guess with the CB300F out Honda would have no reason to bring the 'Hawk back but it is a shame. It's a good, all around standard that can do a whole lot of tasks.

Jim another annomaly most people don't realize is if you increase the tire width on one of them slammed rides it will mean even more leaning to get around the same curve.
That holds true on scooters as well. One tire size bigger doesn't mean much, but when you add in low now your getting trouble.

I know there are guys who can drag their knees on scooters but I just can't muster up the confidence to fling one around like a bike. A few months ago I was riding the Fashion on a good sport bike road and hit one of those left-right curves you dream about. I almost ran across the road with the scooter and had to hit the brakes to slow it down. It might be the engine location behind me instead of in front, it could be the long wheelbase on the scooter or it could just be me. Whatever, It just didn't flick and I had to slow down. I want to do that road again on one of the bikes just to see. I'll bet the Nighthawk just eats it up.

it's the scoot Jim,,,weird geometry to say the least,,,,and yes you'd smoke the fashion in quick order with the hawk,,,it's a completely different animal,,,and it has the all important item that the fashion will never have,,(well 2 really),,,,,a gearbox and clutch,,,these two items make all the difference in the world
