Again happy new years to all.
Just got back from prime rib at friends house and I made the blackeyed peas and hogjowls yesterday/ I have them in fridge to get the grease off and they are coming out in 4 more hours/ The only jowl I could find this year that was fresh was sliced, I just do not like the smoked as I think they do them and hocks both with a chemical smoke and they taste like crap.
