I'm having a hard time starting scooter. When it's first started I get a whirl sound. It cranks n cranks..n eventually it will fire. When the engine has been run for a while it starts with one push of start switch. I have just replaced starter starter solenoid stater coil and plug wire. Any thoughts? Also just put on performance mmuffler and head pipe. Thank you for any info

did you make a carb adjustment after adding a performance exhaust? if not, your mix might be off. check and see if your running lean. you may have to upjet.

It runs just fine when it'll start..replaced starter/ solenoid..starter works well..must b internal issue? Any thoughts? Can't get it to start now..just get the starter whit n click when switch released..please help!!!..THANK YOU

You did not have to buy parts it just needs a little adjustment on the carb. If the Fuel Ratio Mixture is way off the motors are very hard to start. Did you also put on a FREE FLOW FILTER or just the MUFFLER? Since you put on a performance muffler it is now running a little LEAN on fuel so Turn the FUEL RATIO MIXTURE screw COUNTER CLOCKWISE at least 1 full turn. Then once you get it started let it idle and warm up for at least 5 minutes so the ENRICHER cuts off the extra fuel, THEN ADJUST the CARBS MIXTURE. Sorry bout the delay..work n life..I can't get it to start at all..when I hold brake n hit starter button I hear the starter spinning. It won't turn the starter clutch at all..help please...also installed free flow air filter ( uni clone )...

Are you sure you got the right starter and installed it right It may not be engaging the Idler gear inside which turns the Starter Clutch. If it is engaging the Idler gear then I would say your starter clutch is gone and you need a new starter clutch.
But it the starter clutch is gone you should hear some metal like a chain sounds.
Video with sound would help.

Pull the starter and check the splines on the shaft.

Took kick start off..was making a rattling noise..looks like it wasn't aligned correctly n kinda screwed up the gears
