I think G-1 is from the KEY SWITCH, if key is on that green should not be grounded only if KEY OFF.

So, I've been all over the guts of this switch. Do you have any questions or doubts, before I put it back together Alley? And yes, my head is swimming. Your comment above, is that meant to indicate a revelation? I wouldn't know one if it floated me into the sky, right now, lol! Where is my mind?

So with that said If it operates the solenoid when pushed to the LEFT GREAT AND YOU HAVE SPARK and when pushed to the RIGHT NADA we in business. Now we can put that together and move on to the next problem child. WHOOPS! I just re-scanned and saw this one. Musta been posting at the same time. Okie doke, I'll put her together and re-check.

Okay, plugged in and about to retest. I'm still wondering about that weird (-1836 or so)reading I keep getting on the killwire at the CDI, with it unplugged and key on. I'll redo that check too but, does that strike you in any way, Alley ?

Key On killwire not connected to anything should not be continuity, so -#s are good if it had continuiity we would be in trouble continuity reads like so 0.# etc Yes, we have to be able to KILL THE MOTOR ONCE IT STARTS.

I think G-1 is from the KEY SWITCH, if key is on that green should not be grounded only if KEY OFF. Key on, left position, there is no ground. Key off, grounded !

These are all of the loose wires that end up near that green ground that I mentioned earlier as being grounded at the rectifier. They are located in the noseclip near the ignition key switch harness plug. I suspect they may have something to do with the alarm system ?

See if you can check that black wire see where it goes the green might plug into it. Black on scoots also may be ground also they can carry voltage. Alleyoop
