In the event that I wire a new ground to it, I can just ground to frame at a good spot, yes? You got it simple dimple if you don't want to tackle finding the problem with the other wires ground.

LOL! We have a stalker! That's a good question cyborg. I needed to get her started before I can know if it needs to be running for the lights to run. I'm unsure, at this point.

I don't mind tackling the others at all. Just don't want to wear ya out

The green and yellow should have voltage if you notice that is the same wire that activates your stop light when you squeeze the brakes.
If you can find the bad connection on the other GROUND wire that would be good because it may be where something else needs that ground as well.
Now once the motor starts grounding out the CDI is what kills the motor. Turning the KEY OFF grounds the CDI also flicking the killswitch grounds the CDI to kill the motor.

Ahhh, yes. Then, it would be good to hunt that down right!

Yes. The green/yellow does have voltage.

....Reading up on your post about the CDI and kill switch, to begin to understand the ground circuit there since, it is the next step backward on the ground to the start switch

Well right now you can use the electric start to start the motor, then the next test is can you kill the motor once it starts with the key off OR hitting the killswitch

Ahh ok. And, if I CAN'T ? Lol! I imagine, theoretically I could ground out the CDI but it's too buried to access. What is the safest manual way ?

I found some wire I can use, to rig it for now. I'll wire a temp ground to it

I took your last comment to suggest that there's a chance that both methods, key off and kill switch could fail (Sorry, to be so dense concerning circuits but, I am) . I have to have my fail safe shut off method in mind before trying because, my bike is back in my dining room. I could probably take a lil carbon monoxide but, my kitties, not so much, lol!

Me thinks, you may be having your dinner or cracking another problem at the moment I'll run down the block to grab that can of kitty food that I'm obligated for, real quick and check back in
