I do know By the way, the torque spec that I had found before, for the 14mm flange brake mounting bolts, 20 FT LBs, does that sound about right ? It's the only figure I have found .

Okay so, I omitted the EVAP system and plugged all of the ports with a small section of hose with some RTV silicone plugging each end. For info, I do not have a FILTER on the end of the gas tank vent hose yet, as I do not have one but will get one. I also took a water container to each line to look for leaks, with no change anywhere. If I let it run till it dies then pull the fuel line to check for gas, theres quite a bit coming through yet, if I immediately hook it back up, it doesnt start. I'm gonna check for spark next after I let some spilled fuel dissapate. I remember when we (Alleyoop) were checking for spark during the "Kill Switch" testing phase, and I was noticing that I wasn't getting spark sometimes when I should have but decided to doubt myself rather than the absence of spark. I'm wondering if my coil is failing ?

WOW! so it is getting gas, so the pump is good has good suction to work the fuel pump. You maybe right the coil may be going south and or the CDI but usually if its the CDI it works or not work.
I am still little leary about the KILLSWITCH so you may want to make a quick disconnect and connect using the TOGGLE SWITCH Splice it near the CDI to test and you can leave it on then you can shut it off with the toggle or killswitch. Alleyoop

Could be a intermittent electrical problem ,,,that thing was so corroded you may have to literally go thru every connection

I would splice in the TOGGLE switch you have to the Killwire by the CDI. Then start the scoot and using the toggle switch to make sure disconnect the kill wire ground from the cdi and see if the motor still dies. THAT Will eliminate the CDI being accidently grounded.
Then the only thing for a no spark would be the BOOT CAP, COIL WIRE, COIL, CDI, PICKUP COIL, STATOR.
If the coil looks old and the boot cap looks old they are cheap enough to replace the whole thing and not piece meal it. So the replacement would be COIL, CDI, PICKUP COIL, STATOR.
Intermitent problems like this are impossible to find because you cannot test for it. So replacement of the spark items is your best bet starting with the most probable. COIL, CDI, PICKUP COIL and last but not least Stator. Alleyoop

So, I am on the right track I think, I wasn't getting spark right after it died and for quite a while. Now, that the bike is starting up, I get spark but it's more orange than blue. Aha, the killswitch againnnnn, lol! If I remember all of that correctly then, I would want to put a toggle on the switch side B/W wire ? By the way, the killswitch has been working every time I use it to shut the bike down, too

Yes on the B/W Wire, if the spark is orange I would just replace the coil AND give that a shot they are cheap enough and may save some headaches and messing around. Alleyoop

They do look a bit weathered. Not cracked but, the boot is not soft at all and doesnt like to stay secured, it dangles, lol!

I'll do that. Any specifics that I should know while tracking down the specific coil for MY scoot? Or, are they just 150cc general?
