Afternoon Boys, What did I do to my carb while cleaning it? Listen to the vid and see what y'all think. I sprayed water all over looking for an air leak, found nothing. I just pulled the carb, took it apart and re cleaned it, found more dark bits in it, filter still clean. Vid

jct842, That was a heck of a good thought. I just went and checked. I only have light gray fuel line after the filter. So I don't think that is it.

It might of been dirt left over from the last time I cleaned the carb. (bout 3 or 4 days ago). I did a way better job this time cleaning it.

hobs, the PILOT JET and its PASSAGE are clogged, reason it idle just a tad higher when you completly close it is it now is running LEAN. But turning it counter clockwise IT SHOULD RAISE your IDLE and it is not doing it because the clogged jet and or passages. It is just letting enough gas to get through for it to idle so low. You don't need a new carb just properly cleaning the one you have. BUT if you do not want to bother cleaning it out then the LINK of the carb you put up is the CORRECT carb a 24mm carb. Then you can put that one on and work on the clogged one whenever you want to and have it ready to swap if the new one causes you problems or that one gets clogged. SEE the tiny holes by the BUTTERFLY when you spray into the PILOT JET PASSAGE SPRAY should come out of those tiny outlets. You may need to use the point of a needle or small enough wire to clear them out. Alleyoop scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/12495/clean-carb-jets-passages?page=1&scrollTo=113211Use a VISU Fuel Filter nothing gets by them. The motor will stop but only if the fuel filter is clogged. Also they can be cleaned by spraying from the BIG end. Any particles it traps you will see on the outside of the Filter. BIG END GOES TOWARD CARB. www.amazon.com/Visu-Filter-16in-1-Capacity-Filter-FF704C/dp/B003CJC87OHere it is on my TRIKE: In over 4 YEARS I have not had to clean my carb. The black will come fron the Black rubber hoses but this Filter will trap all those little pieces from inside the hose.

A good source of stiff fine wire is the E string off a guitar/ (the bottom e string)

That I didn't do, either time I cleaned the carb. I did see gas coming out of the small holes, but not sure if it was coming out all of them. Anyway,, that is got to be the problem. Again, I learned something from you. Thanks. I'll order a new one and then have a spare. Heck, it's only $23.99.
