To much crankcase case pressure??? By conora (Read 502 times)

Installed new oil pump and now I am burning oil and blowing white smoke out of the head. The vent hole on the head is working but apparently not well enough.I just put a dip stick oil decompresser with a catch can on but it didn't help much. BTW I have a 100cc bbk it was originally 50cc, straight pipe and many other performance upgrades.

What bike is it?,,,how much oil did you put in it when you did the build?,,,sounds like you may have over filled it,,,they don't take much

Tank urban 50 I though the same thing so I drained about half of it and it still has the same problem.

How many miles/ hours on the build,,, unless you seriously overfilled it or there may be a problem with the rings from the build,,,

At tops maybe 300 miles since I put the bbk in and it wasn't doing this before I replaced the oil pump.

Sounds funny but when I removed all my emission junk off of my 150cc I acidently capped of the vent to my crankcase on the front of the head ....check yours see if capped off or the evaporated system is plugged

I can feel air comeing out of the valve on the head I'll take it apart later and look into it. Any idea why I'm getting this extra pressure now?

I'm starting to think the rings could be the problem but would that cause it to blow white somke though the head?

Of course,,, combustion gasses not contained go around the piston
