Hello Dear 2wheelers monsters and geek squads! Here I need your help in looking into the problem of only one spring shock damper this model is limited to by manufacturer! its Chinese PMZ50-4J 49.5cc scoot however modest one but so far my only transposition vehicle. However I've found myself there is still a binding welded in to the frame at the right side where the muffler is at. So I suppose there will be still a possibility to upgrade a bike by safety sake with an additional spring air shock damper? As for example one listed in here, air shock damperI've got a lot of concerns as well a spindle axle's load and whatnot... Please feel free to share with any hints to give me a clue! Thank you all in advance,

We've seen a few threads about this issue in the past,,,pricey to do and hard to source the needed parts With the pretty reasonable prices for air shock about 25 bucks it doesn't make the whole enterprise that flippant, so far and the choice of parts is pretty much lavish. the question still is if somebody could brag with real experience in such update? For me I suppose to apply the following scheme in order as well / - a swing arm 13 in { \ - and air shock damper 13 in

Seems like all 60s come with one shock. I'd just get a perfoemance one, surprised to hear that adding a second one is so pricey, could probably do a rear disc for about the same cost.

There have been many millions of scooters made with only one shock. Apparently it works for most of them or we would have heard more about it. If you have binding on the right side it would be good to correct this and then see how it rides.
You may have a bent frame and adding another shock probably won't unbend the frame.
God only knows how many videos I have watched with a whole family riding on one of those 50's. Of course the shock must be bottomed out with 5 riding on it!

Well maybe you guys havent been riding and had your case split in half wich is a prettu ugly scenario if youre going at least 25mph....thats why 2 shocks is better you just need to fabricate a swing arm like a gy6

Watching videos in 3rd world countries with a whole family riding one of these single shock scooters tells me that the single shock holds up well.

Hey well I have had some experience with one sprinted scoots.... I put a oil cooled fourwheeler 150 onto my vento phantom frame temporarily and it ripped the motormounts almost off. Me motor point directory left while the frame was straight and I'm not sure if I'm blaming springs or not but I'll tel you what I ordered a second matching for the other side immediately. I think it depends on how much weight you carry and I treat my bike like a van so that's like.... my weight 120 plus a heavy duffel bag and a toolkit and a purse. So it depends on if you are toying around your kitchen sink or not?

understand that the spring/shock is not supporting the engine/swingarm, the pivot bushings and frame are, the tire is supported by two bearings in the gearbox case, this is not a new concept and has been used by dirtbikes for decades, all the spring and shock does is damp the motion and absorb road shock, if you want to upgrade anything, upgrade your pivot bushings

Can we please use the Correct Terminology and Verbiage? The Front end has Forks for Suspension. The Rear End is Fitted With Shock's or Shock absorbers or Shocks With a Coilover Spring. Rear Springs is driving me crazy.. Ok I'm over it
