Hello all. We bought a used 2009 Schwinn scooter with 1200 miles on it. We put about 500 miles on it and it just died and won't start now. Just wondering how the carb gets it's fuel supply from the gas tank that is underneath the scooter frame. There isn't any gravity at work here it seems. Does the fuel vacuum valve really pull the gas up out of the tank to supply the carb? Just trying to wrap my mind around the setup with the fuel supply. Thanks, Ed

With 1200 miles it is time to check valve clearance. If the fuel tank is below the carb it has a vacuum gas pump. First it would make sense to determine what is the reason it wont start. Valves, spark lacking or fuel lacking.
Check in our library and find more information about your scooter including generic manuals etc.

Its time to pull a few panels and see if there's a vacuum line that came off or cracked ,,, it's really a matter of elimination till we find out why it's starving out for fuel
