Bummer....riding scooter just now and a bee/wasp flew up under my face shield and stung me right below my eye. Hurts like a . Luckily I think the bottom rim of my eyeglasses stopped his upward movement. Talk about your panic stop from 45 mph!

Boy, I'll bet that did smart. During the 2014 riding season, I was stung 4 separate times while riding. Not in the face, like you got it.....but up the sleeves of my leather jacket. Still hurts like hell, but not a close call to big problems, like an inch from ones eye. Guess you are a lucky man.....that is, if you are one that sees things as half full, rather than half empty. Heal up fast.

Oh, last year.....I rode 8,539 miles (split between all of my bikes), without a single bee sting. Seems like they just had it in for me in 2014.

About 40 years ago Probably a bumble bee went up jacket sleeve and hit the elbow, swelled up like the size of my thigh. Could not bend elbow for a couple weeks. I was doing about 70 then. Felt like I had been shot by a rifle. Dropped bike after I got it down to 10 mph or so.

Bees are no fun for any one....unless your into honey and don't ride.

I knew I shouldn't have posted about not receiving one bee sting all of last year. Just one day later (on the 21st) a bee went up my jacket sleeve while riding, and got my forearm twice, before I could get stopped to remove him. Then 2 days ago (Friday) another bounced off of the side of my helmet, and down under my collar, stinging me in the back of my neck.

Does this have something to do with karma.....or are the bees reading these forums in search of their next victims?

I will no longer post on bee sting threads......
