I just recently got my new 2016 Zodiac from the dealer, and noticed that the rear tires are 155/70/12 and not the old 270/30/14 on the 2015 Zodiac. The dealer called IB wanting to know why there was a change, as the specs on the website still showed the 14" tires. He was told the wheel assembly was changed, including the axle. So it appears the back end may be incompatible to the 2015 models. I don't know enough to compare models, but I wanted other potential Zodiacs buyers to be aware of this change. It is a small narrow rear tire, even smaller than the Magnum's rear tire.

The Zodiac is the largest of there trikes I have a 2013 and 2 2015 the all have 14 inch tires the magnum's measurement are not the same as the Zodiac... I believe you should call Rapid Jim he's a pro in this field I get all my stuff from him.I will one thing as fact if this is true you don't have any under clearance I only got 2 3/4 by dropping to smaller tire you got next to none right?

Mine is the 300cc 2016 Zodiac. If you go to the IB website, You will notice that the 150cc Zodiac is not offered this year. Also, you can see the new wheels on the 300cc Zodiac. There is very little clearance on these new trikes. I want rear 14" wheels so I can put taller tires on them to raise it up some. I am going to put a taller front tire on it, also. www.icebearatv.com is the IB website.

Putting a taller tire on the front will change the speedometer and odometer readings. The Speedo puck is driven off the front wheel and is electronic. There is nothing to adjust to compensate for tire size difference.
I can not address the tire and wheel change as I have not talked to Ice Bear about it yet. I heard a change was coming but didn't hear until now that it was incorporated.

My speedometer is way off anyways, RJ, so I'll use my GPS like I am now. I think I will prefer not hitting everything because of low clearance over the odometer being off anyday. Other than the small rear tire situation, I really do like the Zodiac.

Would have been nice for IB to have had updated their website instead of my dealer having to ask why it wasn't changed...

According to my calculations the 12" tire should be exactly 5mm taller than the 14" tire. I been wrong before....... but I am using the tire size along with the side wall measurements. The taller sidewall should also be a softer ride.

The point of my 1st post was to warn potential 2016 Zodiac buyers that the rear wheels have changed, and maybe the rear end has changed. The old 14 inch Zodiac wheels will not fit on the 2016. My dealer asked.
My plan had always been to change the tires, both front and back, to taller profile tires. The 12 rear wheels limit my choices considerably...

Direct from Ice Bear China, The reason for the tire change was for a softer ride. The rear diff was also made longer to add stability and make the tires center under the rear deck. The old wheels will fit the new style but not under the deck.

It sounds like a worthy change. To bad they didn't see that telling us about it was worth the bother. I would prefer 13 wheels that can take automotive tires and a big change in the deck. Also a front fork extender like the motorcycles have. Oh well.

I can tell you Ice Bear really doesn't keep up much on there information. I talked to Sanna I think at Ice Bear when I told her about my trike and what the paper work said. She tried to convince me her page online was right when I pointed out that it states kick start and she read it and change oil how to with your kick start. She said she will let them know but says on this stuff they seem a little slow will if they keep making changes every year year information will never keep up LOL
