Remember a certain PERSON'S ill fated attempt to ride a Chinese scooter to Key West. Here's a much smarter young man's trip from Michigan to Miami, FL on a Bintelli 50cc. Darned if he isn't doing it without engine rebuilds. joshjourneys.com/

This is awesome! I've been 140+mph on a crotch rocket I've been 140+miles on a road bike But I can say with certainty that I've Had more fun at 40mph on a 50cc moped Than ever before, with my knees in the breeze at a leisurely pace the slow life is for me.....

As I recall that other guy was so pissed at his parents he was never going to talk with them again.......leaving in middle of winter in snow storm......till he ran out of money!
Quite the difference. The kind of trip I wished I had taken. I have still never ever ridden in packs like the harley guys do, I would be gone the first interesting sight I see to check it out!

A very interesting read for sure. Thanks for sharing. I have done several similar in my younger years but never to Florida. I mostly went to southern states were I had friends from my service in the Army and a couple old girl friends from that time in the Army. The farthest south was Beaumont, TX were I got married in '71. I was living in Milwaukee, WI at the time but didn't ride HDs but once. Once was enough. I to never really rode in groups except local rides with the GWRRA. Farther and I just packed up, trailer if necessary, and ride for a week or more. Now I'm looking to downsize and enjoy staying closer to home in northern Wisconsin.

Well it's a bit cool today and for the next four, then back to the 70s. This afternoon I'm headed 80 miles straight north, next to Green Bay, for a 4pm outdoor party followed by a later bonfire party. And I wear snowmobile boots.

As of yesterday, not a single engine rebuild yet! (knock on wood). Just oil changes, a new belt, and general tune ups. When he stopped by it was purring like a kitten! Such a good thing Josh is doing.

And so the Chinese scooter with a good rider makes it from Michigan to Key West. Any doubts now about Chinese scooters? Thirteen thousand miles and still running strong on a trip that would be pretty cool on a large touring motorcycle. Now there's a Bintelli ad for you. I hope Justin includes it on his website.

As I recall that other guy was so pissed at his parents he was never going to talk with them again.......leaving in middle of winter in snow storm......till he ran out of money! Would that it had been that simple. What "That Guy" (whose name I won't even say) did was hype his trip for months, sought sponsors and free hotel rooms as if he was Lindbergh about to cross the Atlantic. He used one of the crappiest 150cc scooters he could find and did mods to make it faster which backfired. This journey is such a breath of fresh air by comparison. Chinese scooters redeemed and Justin's company highlighted as a seller of quality scooters. All is well.
