This past Saturday I finally got to take the 156 mile trip to Hyde Park on the Big Bike. Holy Crap what a trip. It has a great deal more road hugging weight and power than the 250s and it really eats up the miles. Not that it was breaking the sound barrier but I had it moving on the highway at 65 to 70 with no problem and if the need to accelerate even more, briefly, arose it had more than enough power for that. Better yet it kept returning 50+ mpg. Not bad for a 33 year old, 500 pound machine. In case anyone has forgotten what my biggest toy looks like.
