'05 Helix clone. Bought it early this summer with 2100 miles. Been running great for 2500 miles. Today I was stopped at a light and it quit. It would start and run for a second or two then quit. Pushed it home about 3 miles (I'm too old for that crap). So now I'm just wondering where to begin. I'm pretty sure it's fuel, too much or not enough. I'll be going by my local shop tomorrow and see if the guy can give me some ideas. My first guesses are the fuel pump, auto-choke, maybe fuel line obstruction, clogged jet. Any ideas?

You pretty much covered it ,,either you had a vacuum line fail ,,, split/crack,,fell off or the fuel pump decided to go on permanent vacation ,,,that's where I'd start,,,I'll put a $20 on pump or vac lines myself

I would give it a shot of ether and see if it fires, and if so look at fuel. Cranking it with the fuel line disconnected from carb would narrow it down too. Vacuum lines tend to crack and come off as been said so a visual along with tugging on stuff sometimes is all it takes.

I'm just recovering now, 1.6 miles I pushed that b@st@ard, 61 y/o with back and leg problems! Wa wa wa. Tomorrow I'll start trouble shooting. I'll see if it's pumping fuel and go from there.

Ok, it starts with starter fluid, so it's not spark. What is this little hose that just hangs out in nowhere? It doesn't look like it was connected to anything. It's only about 2 inches long.

No fuel to the carb, fuel filter empty but blows through freely, diaphragm sucks, figured it's not getting out of the fuel tank. Blew into the tank, a little effort, then bubbles. Back running. All good news, but the bad news is whatever obstructed it is still in the tank, so.....guess I'll carry some tools.

They may have had a screen type filter cobbled on the inlet pipe from the factory inside the tank. I kind of think you blew it right off the end of the pipe inside the tank. Smooth sailing ahead. crap your still a kid.........I am 74 and things are starting to get hard to do for me, am headed out in the yard to the dog wash, I have a 105 lb 9 1/2 mo old puppy that don't like baths!

If I hadn't crashed all those cars and broken so many bones, I'm sure I'd be in better shape! That's a big dog, hold on tight!

Every time you fill up from now on dump an ounce or two of Seafoam in the tank. That might break up whatever is in there.
