I'm having a strange starting issue with my scoot. Essentially it seems like it is progressively more difficult for the starter to turn the motor over in order to start. At first start of day it starts no problem. I do a lot of short traveling with stops for about a half hour or so and as I go to start it with each progressive stop, it seems as though the starter labors harder and harder and sometimes has to be pushed more than once to get it to turn over. I can usually coax it, but today for the first time it refused. I let the bike cool down for a while and eventually I got it started. It doesn't appear to be battery related.
Has anyone experienced this?
I'm wondering if it is valve related. If they need adjusted, can they prevent the motor from turning over if the engine temp is at operating temp vs cold?

Starter motor is going away,,,, but an old farmer trick,,, and don't laugh I've seen this trick work on many occasions ,,, get a small hammer and give the side case of the starter a sharp rap,,, my son built a hotrod gti vw,, then his starter started to go away,,, I gave it the rap,,, it literally lasted till he sold the car

I'll give it a good wack anyway.

Of course it's affected,,,and as a side note you may want to look at the solenoid as well but my bet it's the starter,,,,,do a run where you end up at home and shut it off,,,then try and restart,,if it gives you trouble give it the hit,,,now don't go and use a framing hammer,,,just a small ball pien will do ,,,it is Chinese after all so don't go nutty

I think What happens is when you whack it the worn out brushes settle a little further down in their track and make better contact with the armature.
