Picked this up today between Akron and Canton Ohio. It's a 1996 Tomos Sprint and it's filthy. Mostly complete but missing a few items. PO said no spark and he tried everything, bet he doesn't know that if the tailight burns out, there is no spark. Gonna fix it, clean it, maybe keep it for my boy, may sell it and make some monies, don't know yet. Maybe I can make enough money to buy another scoot like the last Tomos I fixed and sold. The picture sucks but it was dark and it was my BBerry. I will take some pics and post the progress.

That's very cool, yes I'd love to see more pictures when you get a chance. What kind of engine is that anyway? I think my brother had one like that on one of his RC airplanes..... . Rich

That's an A35 tomos two stroke motor puting out about 1 HP. Should move the bike and passeger about 30 mph stock and with some mods up to 40 mph, plenty fast enough for my 13 yr. old. Funny you should say that about the RC planes as I am a sponsored RC car driver, never got into planes

I strictly run electric 1/10th and 1/12th. Tried 1/8th gas and could not get into it. I am ponsored by Team Losi for off road and Calandra Racing Concepts(CRC) for 1/12th scale and Team BFast for diff products. I used to hav some pictures of my cars, I will see if I can find them.

Very cool. I just got back into racing about 6 years ago. I raced 20+ years ago My first RC was and RC10 Gold Tub. My Favorite buggy that I ran at the time though was an Losi JRx2 Which I still have MOST OF. I used it in college for my final project which I had to have a partner for and he LOST the entire front end of it. So basicly made my buggy worthless.. :-) Losi was the inovator to the LRM Transmission. At that time the biggest Batt packs you could use was 1200 SCR cells and with th Losi I could get about 7 min out of it. My RC10 I was lucky to get 3 min 30 seconds. Which sucks if when your races are 5 min... That was way to long ago. Times sure have changed wtih all the Lipo Tech, and Brushless. Man do I feel old right now.

Tomos makes a great and dependable real moped. Made in Slovania. My 2001 Tomos Revival slightly modded to 70cc hits 43-44mph and has given me very good service. I had another Tomos that had been modded to 80 cc. First time I hit the throttle hard it did a wheelie and scared the crap out of me!!!! 8^) I use the revival for the motorhome bike. Mthomas, you can have some fun with that find.
