FASTER!

Since I got this Helix clone last spring, the best I could get is 60ish. Someone here suggested I check the throttle, something could be obstructing it. Being as lazy as I am, it took me til now to pull the seat off and check it out. The hose clamp on the intake was blocking the throttle 20-30%! Holy crap. I just took it out for a little run. It's really windy today. I got up to 65 and a gust about took it out from under me, but I had tons of throttle left. I'm sure I can get 75, maybe more. But that's really fast on this little scooter, going to scare the crap out of me. I'll check it out in a few days, but this thing is going to go like a bat out of hell! Loving it.

When you get hit with a gust just hang on...don't try to correct it. They eventually come around and stand back up. Scooters with weight down low, lots of body surface and windshields tend to be real sensitive to a side blast of air. The first time I rode a majesty I damn near loaded my pants, having been used to riding a motorcycle of about the same weight.
Honda sure knew what they were doing with the helix. You have a winner.
