going to change the variator on my jcl 260 scooter, has any one used , one of these variators they dont used sliders they come with different names such as- tm 42 turbo kit -j costoa,- tk variator has any used one do they preform any better they seem vary costly, ? please if you would watch this short u tube about them---https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WS5epb0L1xY --- from martin preformance inc it shows one---http://www.metacafe.com/watch/4674193/linhai_vog_260cc_upgrades_we_got_them/

Wow I never heard of them either ,,,just watched a video of it in action,,,and the writeup I read about them I guess very successful racing teams are using them,,,they get very high reviews,,,but boy they are expensive,,,,

The J Costa type varis with the "pill" shaped weights are evil. They are high end and for a good reason. Better belt travel and less wear from friction on the weights. Thoseghigsare used by a lot of race teams AND those little drag type mini bikes. There will be a noticeable difference in the speed and response. The local scooter shop dude has a Helix identical to mine same mods but his is equipped with the J Costa pil type vari. He's faster off the line and has more top end. Better mpg too. Of I could afford one, I would have to get one. But....$$$$$$
