This bike sounds a hell of a lot like my MC-54-250b, the brake lights don't work, won't start, no power to start button.... Band brake switch? That's what happened to mine.

ricardoguitars, I would, but damnit....its almost ride season!!! If I can get this one thing sorted, I can rebuild the loom this coming winter. I've got an 86 Helix as well as a parts bike (now..was stolen and dumped after they trashed it...RIP Felix) but supposedly there's subtle differences there, idk. Without a manual it's hard to tell.

I recently got a good deal on a beautiful 98 CN 250. The bike had sat for a while after the death of its owner/ primary rider. A couple years after her death, her husband sent the bike to a local to him Honda service shop to get it road worthy again. It came back to him running, but over heating, and with a terrible front end wobble that had never existed. The guy went back forth with the shop for a few no this, and finally grew tired of it. That's where I come in.
He shipped it from Maine to Ky and I now have it. Well, I immediately found the cause of the wobble, the front axle nut was ¾ of the way off the axle. That was an enormous red flag, so I started digging through to see what else was amiss.
I can say that the shop needs to be burned to the ground.... The one thing I need more than anything is a wiring diagram. I tried the library here, but sadly those files have expired or something g as they do not download.
I am trying to GI d a hot wire that is only hot when the engine is running. If anyone can help either with the manual/diagram, or by telling me where to find such a wire, I will be forever grateful.
Chris in Ky

May be such an occasion you could fit an 11 pole stator and flywheel from a 150 and then swap the other charging system bits. Idk for sure, but I believe the stator will fit not 100% on the flywheel. Worst case scenario you float the ground and ditch the AC lights so all stator output is DC??? Hi, You dont happen to have an easy to follow diagram on how to make it DC (got lights but not wired anyway) cheers pete. Sorry for such a delay, life's fought tough and kinda Clint Eastwood esque lately. I don't, have a step by step, but there are several write ups if doing this same thing everywhere. Search the forums for ' convert ac cdi system to DC cdi system'

That's awful. How F-ed up do u have to be to steal an oil cap? Not to sound rude, but you know it was tight yesterday right? I've had my 250 oil cap loosen up, but it didn't come out. That's a terrible thing for someone to do...

Try to check again with a different gauge. Smart move only changing one thing at a time. A lot of folks dive in head first and when an issue arises that don't know where to look....

Suhweet! Been a hellacious few months. Feb. Ql,14- March 21 I was unconscious. Then a handful of surgeries and PT and more PT. The pain meds help, but that don't allow me to be me. They change my whole personality.

Personally if I ordered and paid for an engine, I would expect it to be exactly what I ordered. If not it would be going back. Call ScrappyDog and see what they say before opening the final gear case.

It all depends on the state. I know that there are a few 50cc and 150cc that are almost identical. In their cases I know of some who carefully remove the 150 leters and replace with 50cc decals or raised letters which are readily available. As long as you keep speeds in the 50 range and the law is lenient you might be ok. BUT DON'T BLAME ME IF........ I drove my 250 scooter for the longest time before getting my endorsements. If there's not a ton of scooters in a given area cops really don't know a ton about them and most don't realize they build scoots above 50... My sherriffs office had to inspect both of my 250 scoots before tagging an dnone of them realized that scooters could be bigger than 5-100cc..

The pump on the generic Minaralli clones provides a mixed ratio. The higher the engine rpm the more oil in the mix. Not sure about the Honda. A lot of flks are premixing nad ditchingte injection, but again, am not sure about that engine... It's probably something so simple thta it's easy to overlook. Good luck

Yup. Maybe killed the plug with oil before the pump died? Hope you get it sorted soon.
