Hello folks, I hope someone can help me here. I recently acquired a 2013 Rowdy 150 by SSR. This scooter was bought and then abandoned on my friends property for over 3 years. After years of trying to get this removed from their property, they called me to see if I would take it. After much work I have her purring again. This Scooter was never registered in any capacity, I have run the VIN and there's nothing. So apon studying the processes of Scooter registration in Ohio, it said that I need a MCO certificate. Don't know where to begin, any help would be greatly appritciated!

You need to contact the original manufacturer or dealer where it was bought,,, that should set you right,,, if not I know Vermont and Texas do lost paperwork vins,,,, if I remember correctly they are called bonded titles

One other way is to purchase another frame on eBay and swap everything over,,, it will be registered as a reconstruction ( I've done this several times,, also you may want to get chummy with a salvage yard,,, explain to them what you want to do,,, they can dummyup some lien paperwork for a few bucks ,,, done that a couple times myself,,,

Unfortunately, I don't know where it was ever ordered from. Just know that it came in a crate, and the guy never did anything, except ride round the block with no tags.

Don't know if contacting SSR with the VIN would do anything. I think that I saw on their site, that they do not assist with MCO's

Update, got a direct number to SSR from a local dealer. The guy said that he could trace the VIN to tell me the dealer who originally sold it. Said he'd call me back. So, crossing fingers!

If the VIN is clear maybe a "lost title" approach would work for you?
