First, it's been a while since I have been here. I am back though Okay, let me set it out for yas: 2008 MC 54 250B Linhsi based engine. Yesterday, after about a two mile WOT or close to WOT run, I noticed a terrible shake and shudder on take off. I had been through this before on my two stroke, so I pretty much knew what was wrong. When I got it home, I pulled the CVT cover, and sure enough, a roller had managed to work it's way loose, and jammed the vari. No big deal, right? Ha! Wrong! I was able to pull the clutch easily. The nut on the vari is so dang tight, that an impact gun won't budge it. I have a holder, that I made for all three if my bikes, so I gotnit out and tries it with a breaker bar.Nope, uh uh, not happening. Instead if the nut coming off, one of the " holder holes " ( for lack of a better term ) broken off if the vari fan. Has anyone else had this much trouble getting one of these loose??? If so, how did you finally get it off??? I am stuck here....... The Helix is down, waiting in a radiator and intake, and I live twelve miles from town, so the two stroke with a BBK and expansion chamber pipe is kinda small for daily trips to town. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!??!! Chris

Take some kerosene and pour it through the pipe. Just enough to see. If it doesnt come through yup, plugged. If it does, stop the other end pour in about a twenty oz bottle of cleam K1 and slosh it around. Lay it at an angle and leave it soak over night. That will take care of most of the carbon. If tje low compression is from burnt rings or a seal it still may not start.

Liam, sounds like you are on the right track. I run a minarelli with a 70 polini bbk, wih the stock oil pump, and no problems. You can adjust the pump for more oil,but u should be good.

Bashan, thanks, sum forums are full of @ssholes! Okay, debate time. As tvnacman said if the belt is down to the bottom of the front pulley, it might cause the rear pulley to pickup speed early. Never would have thought about the belt, but I have seen it on other forums. Next.........

While growing up I briefly owned a moped. I have no clue what it was other than puke green and scary loud! Now at one time the gasket under the intake went out and it acted like u say ur bro's does. IMO u have a sucking air leak. If u can hear it fire a little some fuel is gettong the cylinder but no idea how much. Try to cover ias much of the carb inlet as u can, then try to start it. If it still acts the same quickly pull the plig to see if it is wet. Try that & get back to us Oh, PUT THE PIPES. BACK ON. 2T ENGINES NEED THE PIPE TO RUN RIGHT.noy using the pipe can cause more trouble than u think.

Hi, I just need some advice on my clutch. I have a Superbyke Powermax 4T (HT50QT-31)which has a 80cc BBK. Just put a new belt on last week as the original was wearing a little thin. Even at just 1000rpm the back wheel still spins round but I wouldn't expect the clutch to engage until over 2000rpm. So when I am sat in traffic and should be idling at 1500rpm the clutch is trying to engage and move me off and wearing out the clutch prematurely. As far as I am aware it is just the stock clutch & bell from new (4yrs old). Do you think the springs on the clutch have weakened so that it engages too early? If so, would I need to replace both the clutch springs & the contra spring and if so, what torque of spring. Alternatively, on Ebay here in the UK I could buy a whole new clutch assembly (factory standard Boation clutch) for just £22. As always, any advice appreciated. Thanks Umn not to insult you. But sometimes belts can vary in size even when marked with the same numbers. Sounds to me like tge belt is too small/tight causing it to engage earlly. Could be wrong but if this started with tge new belt, check that first. Alsi, make sure the vari wieghts are placed right. Again not trying to offend any body's know how.
