Not actually a tool, but a good idea to keep a few ultra bright battery powered led lights, just in case u get stuck out at night, and either break down or what have u. I have an old rechargeable coon hunting light that's as bright as my high beams that I keep under my seat. I have needed it and not had it so..next time a head light dies I can drive home any way. You can buy cheap flexible camera dealies that plug into your cell phone. They are handy as hell and well worth the price. I got mine at wish.com they are actually great for using as a cylinder scope, or looking behind panels.

Please, do yourself a favor and research the " air cooled bikes without fan shrouds". Pay close attention to the fins both cylinder. They are designed to maximize airflow from the bike being driven. They are vertical and allow maximum air flow while moving Engines designed to have a fan cowel will have finss in a side to side pattern. Just my .02¢

I will be the first one to say, please don't run it without the shrouds. The fins on these engines are going left to right, the fins on an air cooled motorcycle are verticle. Unless you can drive sideways the air won't flow enough to keep the engine cool. Yeah, it will run without it. Hell, it MIGHT run like that ( no shroud ) for a while. However the shroud is there to help direct air flow from the fan on he flywheel to the head and cylinder There will probably be someone that I'll tell you to go ahead an dtake it of, that it won't hurt. It is after all, your machine. You may do whatever you lease with it. Would I drive my air cooled scoot with no cowels? Hell no. The fan on the flywheel is the only thing that is working to keep these engines cool. Without those ugly arse plastic pieces ou have no cooling. Even lawnmowers use a fan cowel to direct air over the engine.

Quality of build and quality of maintainance. It doesn't matter what you have, if you use and abuse it, and do not maintain it will not last. I have always believed that a well maintained Chinese scooter could last almost as long as a big brand.

Yup. Very true. My Helix though 30+years old with over 100k miles still starts runs rides and idles beautiful. Wonder what's going to happen with the Linhai clones in twenty some years when they are over thirty?

Furry critters transform into furry children in a short amount of time. As togh med situation, I hvae beenessed up because oftnhe meds I am taking. I can certainly see how goog without would screw you up as well. I've done a state sponsored vacay a ime or two myself, in my younger ( stupider ) days. And recently ( a couple years ago ) spent 90 days for third degree assault. Some duece peso attempted to grab my daughter's behind. I went blind rage and beat the crap out of him then beat him some more for crapping. The Commonwealth ( wish it were a Tate...) Could have, and almost did , charged and convict me of attempted manslaughter. So, yeah, I totally get the med and sttae predicament. Sorry you had I endue the full four years, but glad to see you around again. Hope you find an apartment soon, and reclaim your fuzzy children. About the above post about the cat being put to sleep?? Sonuvabiatch thats selfish. If they didn't want to be bothered with the remaining cat they should have adopted it out. You were dead on saying what you did. I would also like to get ahold of the vet that agreed to euthanize healthy animal souly because the owner asked for it.

To the members of this forum, Recently it has come to my attention that I have been a duck hat. I have snapped at and talked rudely to some, without reason. No excuses, but the medication that I have been on after my wreck, has turned me into an arse. I realize it's not a reason, and still completely unacceptable. If I have offended you, and did so WITHOUT GOOD CAUSE, then I am sorry. However, if we have shared heated exchanges and you were rude or disrespectful to me, then we'll, no apologies are expected or issued. To those that I have snapped at, for no apparent reason, or because I took something the wrong way please accept my apologies. In the Admin, please understand I meant no disrespect, but I hvae been in an opiate enduced haze of douchieness. I had started taperin m sef off the meds, and am in constant pain, but I am in control of my anger...

Greg, I meant no disrespect. It's come to my attention recently that I have been a duck. So ,apologies where they are due. I rode for ever without the M endorsement, but the day after I finally got it ( as an example to my oldest son..) I was pulled over...grrr Most 50cc scootrs say 49cc on the paperwork just to obide by the law and to remain under the radar. Remembr the " secret 60's "? The 50cc have several benefits over bigger scoots, but they do have their drawbacks. With the purchase of any vehicle there will be pros an cons. If it seemed like I was being rude, I do sincerely apologize.

Wonderful. I have seen people mention that trick, but never seen anyone mention it with firsthand knowledge.

From experience, the horizontal 257c Linhia clones tend to have more vibrations than the vertical 250 Hondas and Clones.

Isn't the 170i fuel injected? Idk if that would cause the readable voltage to be that low... I would investigate, look for other Budy 170i owners and see if any hvae reported the same lowish voltages.

Greg, Since iu do not possess nor apparently have the desire to obtain the MC endorsement than a fifty cc is perfect for you at this time. When you get it, drive it as is for. awhile til you are used to it, and until the bugs ( if any are present ) are found. Then, upgrade. Just my opinion.
