I have a 49cc 139QMB, that I rode home (Almost) but it died on the way back. I pushed it home, because it wouldn't start and stay running. The next day I tried to ride it to school, and it started up and after about 20 minuits of riding it it would die when stopped. It would start, idle, then with open throttle... Only go 5mph under its own power. It didn't sound like the engine was revving near max. To get it to go full speed and get full power from the engine, I had to push it until it was going around 5+ mph, then it would take off and die again once it was stopped. Now, after riding it like that for a while it quit starting so I... So far I've: Replaced the CVT belt and adjusted the valves to .004. I took it for another test run, rode for about 15 minuits, and ended up pushing it back about a mile and a half. Could this maybe be the CDI box or something? The carburator has clean gas it (Opened the drain valve and ran fresh gas) and the throttle body moves in accordence with the throttle. Thanks for your time and any help in advance -Baniken

Sure sounds like valves closing up but you adjusted them. This time of year is when so many try to undo the damage ethenol has done so make sure you are getting fuel. A good carb cleaning is in order.

pull off the top of your carb, two screws, be careful, because of the spring in there, so it doesn't get lost, I would bet there is a hole in the diaphragm. that diaphragm lifts out the main meeting needle, so with a hole, the meeting needle stays down, ethanol eats the diaphragm from the bottom side

1- Do you have spark at the plug?
2- If you have the original intake system check for air box and intake manifold leaks too.
