I got the bike together now. I did not repaint the whole bike,not sure if I will.
It has :
A replaced headlight bucket and bezel.
replaced front forks-rebuilt springs and painted
new tires
new tubes
New seat
new seat securing wing bolt
LED bulbs in high beam indicator,Speedo and tail light
New replaceable head light
New control cables for brakes,choke and throttle
replaced right hand control castings
new battery
foam filled battery/ignition coil/regulator compartment
new spark plug
pickled gas/oil tank
in line gas filter
Carb disassembled and ultra sound cleaned and pickled.
new fuel/oil lines and clamps
new air cleaner,high flow type ( original completely rotted away )
new foot starter return spring
New transmission oil
restored original 1978 license plate ( no longer needed in my state)
I cleaned the engine and frame of 40 years of desert bugs and crud. The bike sat under a pine tree for the last 25 years. No rust just pine sap and lots of dry rot.
I have a replacement set of rear view mirrors coming.
The old bike runs well now. With me on it it will do 25 mph on the flats. ( I live at 7,000 feet)
The oil injection is working very well and does not bleed into the crankcase when off/parked
Wiring removed and all connectors cleaned.
Brake switches rewired/soldered.
