Belt Size

I'm really really really hoping someone can help me. I've owned several sizes of scooters. I have a 2007 Reflex. I just blew the CVT belt a couple weeks ago (other thread). I ordered a belt from eBay, 906-22.5-30. My options in Canada were limited. It finally came today. Is that the correct size? When I installed it, I pushed it down into the clutch spring. Is that wrong? Bike won't start. It really struggle. Please help. Thanks.

www.partsforscooters.com/106-107-Bando-CVT-Belt-906-22-5-30That looks to be the right belt. When I install a belt, I have to use a puller to compress the clutch to where the belt sits on up on the variator so I can tighten the variator without pinching the belt. There might be something else going on that made you break the belt in the first place. Is your rear axle spinning freely?

I just looked at your other thread. That clutch is cooked. The bell is blue! It shouldn't be blue, it's gotten way hot. Either rebuild it, or get a new one. This is what my new drive looked like when I installed it.

Ok. Glad the belt is the right size. Are 250cc clutches the same size as 150cc? Also I took a pic of the pads. Ain't much there. Thanks.

I don't know about those slider weights, I don't have any experience with them yet. I would think they would last a lot longer than the round rollers. As for the clutch, if you can compress the spring with your hands, it probably needs replaced also. My old clutch I could compress the spring to an extent. The new one I need a puller. Not sure what that did to my ride. My scooter kicked like a mule, literally. My roller weights had black goop and 2 or 3 flat spots on every roller. There was a problem getting the variator off and I guess everyone before me just didn't bother. It was a mess. So I got that kit for $150, like a new scooter.
EDIT: Maybe those aren't slider weights. Not sure what you have, but I don't see any flat spots. Don't know why some are gold and some black. I don't have a lot of experience with these things, this is my first scooter, always had big bikes.

There is some flat spots on them. Guess I'll do it all next spring. Thanks.

Got it all back together. Running great. I took a closer look at the clutch. Someone else had done some work on it. The big spring is blue, the 3 little ones are yellow. Thanks.

Looks like I spoke too soon. Got 3.9kms into my ride to work. Bam. I either broke the new belt, it jumped off, or a clutch issue. I won't know until the cover is off. Thanks.

Might not of put the variator on tight enough :/? Never known for the clutch to fly off.
As for the original bad start, Either the bandito could be bad somehow, Or you just have low battery voltage, Or the starter has grown weak.
I find it best to sometimes rev my bike up at 4,000 rpms for at least 30 seconds before cutting it off as with mopeds and scooters low low idle results in somewhat draining the battery.
Kinda weird.. But haven't had a bad start in forever now.

I didn't tighten the variator enough once, when the nut spins off the variator, the fins will get chewed off and make one hell of a racket. It doesn't just pop off, you'll know things are going bad.
