I have a gy6-qmj 150cc Chinese scooter. I've tried a couple of different batteries that seem to have good charges I cannot get the motor to turn over very quickly I didn't think it would be a starter issue because they usually just go out. I'm thinking the motor or starer clutch is in a bind or something. And the Starter clutch gear don't seem to be slipping. anyone have any ideas what it could be I can't get gas to pump up to carburetor because it's not turning over enough to get fuel up through the pump cuz it's not turning over fast enough.

Remove the junk vacuum valve and put shutoff valve in its place. That will get you the fuel u need to the carb.

I had the same issue and when I removed the starter I discovered it was full of oil. Pull your starter and then hit the start button and see if it spins freely.

You may also want to check the timing. My 150 had the same problem but so bad it was blowing the fuel in the line back into the tank.

I do have a question if anyone could possibly assist in this i would greatly appreciate it. That same 150 is now a 170 after a B/B kit and I saw a question on a different post here and he mentioned something about to much compression. Can to much cause problems and how do you alleviate that problem?m thanks

I can't understand why the yellow AC wire goes to the headlight relay.

I bought a nice looking scooter that would not crank - even with a new battery. The starter was in a bind. I bought and installed a new starter. It was in a bind. I discovered that someone may have replaced the belt, and left the gasket out that goes around the belt housing. I put a new gasket in - and bang - that was it. Just that thin gasket made the difference. No more problem. Among other causes, that is one. Good luck.
