Does anyone have a good suggestion for a set of helmet speakers or a set of buds? The set has to play mp3.

Personally the last thing I want is something of this sort distracting me as I ride. Now a CB that allows communication between riders and/or can keep you apprised of traffic conditions is a different matter. Just my opinion however and I am sure that there are others on the forum can advise you and answer your question.

I respect your opinion but it did not answer my question. Distraction no, I road around town with ear buds with the music not loud just enough to hear it. If at a point they become a distraction then I'll leave them at home. john

To be honest I spend a lot more time on my motorcycle than I do my scooters because I commute back and forth to work on it. I've always enjoyed listening to all the mechanical sounds a big V-twin makes so I've never felt compelled to use music. When I'm riding the scooters either I'm doing test runs on the Rat or with the wife and we stop a lot...so no music. In my SUV that has speakers for interior walls, that's another matter entirely. The guys on the motorcycle forum I drift over to on occaision rave about the chatterbox line of speakers. The Motorcycle-Superstore has them on sale for like $20.00 through Sunday if you want to take a look. I've dealt with these people countless times and they are flawless to do business with. RichMan..I just can't do a simple post can I?

It annoys my family that I don't have the preset buttons set to stations in my car. When I drive I spend the time listening to the engine and road sounds and check to make sure nothing changes. In between I'm contemplating and enjoying the scenery. Pretty much the same when I ride the bike or scooter or the mopeds. Love the sound of good running engines.

after 6 months or more of intermittent dead battery in my 2001 malibu I determined that a mouse had got in the wiring and under certain conditions which I had no control of there would be a draw on the battery big enough to drain it in 8-12 hours. It would not do it all the time, only rarely. I traced it down and pulled the offending fuse.
now I no longer have a radio or clock....
.I did have plans on a switch to put fuse back in while I drove and have not done it. turns out it don't bother me in the least bit. the loss of the clock is the only thing I really miss. Never again will I be with out an outside cat. john
