Hello all.. Finally found the correct size drain plug for my odd ball Linhai/Vog scooter.. I ended up buying 10 (make minimum order) of the "Type II Linhai" plugs with the 36mm thread (looks different than orig, but works perfectly).. This cap looks just like your standard GY-6 type cap, but has the 36mm thread and comes with a new o-ring, so if anyone has trouble finding one just email me, and I will Priority ship you one for $15.00 through PayPal.. rdavid885@aol.com
I also ended up with a few of the 35mm thread standard 250B type plugs, so would sell you one of those if your in a bind..
This is even easier though, if your bike has 35mm threads, below are the Yamaha part numbers so you can just pick one up at your local Yamaha dealer.. They sell them for about $8.00 if in stock.. 5RU 15351 00 00 or 4HC 15351 00 00
Also, if you break a drain cap on your standard GY-6 or the Honda/Cf Moto style 250 scooter here is the Honda part #.. 12361-300-000
Really hope you don't break your drain cap, but if you do this should help... Happy scooting all.. Dave

I ride a Vog 260 (Linhai clone). Today I pretty much stripped the oil plug bolt head, and need to get one of those sockets that take off damages bolts. The gatorgrip was useless.
They want $27 plus shipping for a new plug at BMS, but there were lots of posts I've found that the MC-250B with the Linhai motor can take a yamaha morphous plug part 5RU 15351 00 00. The above post, however, says that the 250B and the Vog have different plugs apparently even though they both have a Linhai clone motor.
Can anyone else offer any insight? If daver above is right (he certainly sounds like he is) I guess I'll see if he has any left! Thanks in advance.
