I agree check the wiring to the enricher, where it connects to the harness. It is usually a red plug. Check inside there are two copper tabs. These are crap and very thin and often get bent, so the connection is intermittent. Very hard to diagnose.
If the pins are good and you have power to the plug, remove the enricher from the carb and hook it straight to a fresh battery. There is a brass pin in these and it should extend about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch in about 3-4 minutes. If it doesn't move or fully extend , replace the enricher. They are like $15.
