OK putting my meter on the 2 wires set on ac.from the pickup coil. Turning it over I get .2. If I put a lead on one wire and on the ground I get nothing on either one.

lol....my hands get pretty dry. Yes this is my cdi. The top wire on the right plug is black with a white tracer.
I also found out something else today. It had an alarm on it. I was going through the box of extra stuff I got for it and noticed a alarm with remotes in it. So I started looking for the plug on the scooter. There is a plug up front on the right side that was unaccounted for. I pluged in the alarm box and started the scoot. I hit the kill on the keyfob for the alarm and it killed it. I pushed the arm and in blinked the lights and armed the siren. I then unarmed the alarm as well.
Hoping that was my problem I started the scooter again and tried to throttle it and the same thing. It cuts out.

If they changed the pulse coil then they would have changed the whole wireing harness. the wires go into the plug that goes into the wiring harness. I wouldnt see that being likely because all the plugs for everything is factory. there are no splices anywhere.
yes there is a tackometer.

Here is whats odd...coming from the coil pickup I have Blue/yellow and green/white. they go to a plug before it goes into the wire harness. at that plug it switches the blue/yellow over to green and the green/white over to red/white.

I did notice your green is in a different spot then my green on the 4 plug. why is that?
The motor is grounded good to the frame and to the battery.
also it dont idle completely smooth now that the timing is set exactly right. before I took it apart and checked everything I just kept moving the teeth one at a time until it idled smooth. and it did but when I took it apart the piston was about an inch from the top of the cylinder when the cam was strait. so that wasn't right. so I set everything now to perfect top dead center. the t on the flywheel matches the cylinder at the top of the cylinder and the cam is a perfect triangle.
Yes I got this scooter not running. the previous owner was into the motor so its no telling what else he did.

I will trace where it goes first thing in the morning alleyoop. I too would like to know. I understand it should be grounded but it looks as it goes somewhere else first.

I have a brand new coil that I put on and there was no change. Also the battery is fully charged to 12.6. that has been verified at the cdi.

I took the motor apart yesterday to make sure it was set at exact top dead center with the cam and flywheel. and it is now.
