You are correct it was very very difficult to see the spark skipping with just my normal spart tester but when I hooked up the the timing light I can see it clearly that it is skipping the fire. the kill switch will kill it if your trying to start it. but wont kill it if its already running.

I agree I think the green/white does go to ground. I will try that in the morning. on a side note. If I put the kill switch thats on the right handle bar in the off switch the machine will not start. thats the way its suppose to do. but if I put it in the run and start it and let it idle then try to put it in the kill spot it dont kill the scoot. it just stays running. I thought it was suppose to kill the scoot when u put it in the kill spot.

I actually cant tell where either wire goes because it goes into the wire loom. but if I unconnect any of the connectors then the scoot will not even start.

Blue/yellow and green/white are coming from the pickup.

My stator dont go to the cdi. the 3 yellow wires that come from it go to the regulator. I can unplug the plug coming from the stator and the bike will still run. The cdi is dc and gets it voltage from the battery. then the pickup has 2 wires coming from it and one goes to the cdi to triger the voltage to the coil.

Do you think it could be the stator or the pickup? The pickup is what suplies power to the cdi right?

I took the cdi out of another scooter that I know is good and it does the same. What should I check next? It's weird how it jumps spark.

It actually loses spark or skips it and cuts out. It don't die.

I tore the whole motor down yesterday. I made sure the piston was at the top and the cam is lined up directly with the t mark on the flywheel. It is still skipping spark making it cut out.

I have turned the cam 180deg just to check that and it wont stay running there. can you explain something to me? there are 2 times where the piston is at the very top. and on both of them the notch lines up on the flywheel. how do you actually know which one is which? I have tried both and the one I have it at now seems right. I have it set now where its suppose to be. its running the best it ever has. its idleing at 1500rpm but when I try to rev it up it skips the spark making it cut out.

Alleyoop...thanks for explaining it for me. I believe I have them set. What would make it skip spark once I try to rev it up? That is what's happening.
