ok guys and gals
I have two scooters one is a long case with 16" wheels and the other with 12" or 13" wheels I see only 2 cvt gaskets . Has anyone been through this .

a lot of folks don't run a CVT gasket at all. I have opened my CVT case up so it is really rather un-needed. I do however run a bead of gasket sealer just to cushion the parts.

I agree with Jake - no gasket needed. Don't forget to clean the little filter screen thingy so the CVT gets plenty of cool air..

Anyone know where to get a new little CVT air filter screen thingy?? Mine seems to have disappeared. It may be possible it fell out while riding.

I don't use a CVT gasket either since it fell apart the first time I opened up the case. No real need for an air tight seal because air is flowing thru all the time.

Seriously though does anyone know where to get a new CVT filter?? mine did fall out while riding.

I have always wondered why some scoots have a filter thingy on the air intake for the CVT. The inside of a CVT has so much junk flying around from belt wear and clutch wear that a little dust from the outside shouldn't make much difference. I would replace the thingy with a piece of window screen and clamp it on with a zip tie. This would keep larger thingys from getting sucked into the air thingy. Here's what my looks like (the black tube above the center stand). I would guess your's used to be similar. Merry Christmas!

I cut mine down and took out the inards. put some window screen just to keep out big stuff.

Mine was a little plug that fit inside the intake hole. (Thus Falling out) I would love to have a longer rubber hose with a clamp that fit around the CVT like Cruisers.

Ok, Wait, Why does this sound so dirty?

Anyway, where can I get a CVT thingy like the one pictured? I don't wanna have to much junk flying around. ;D

I know A zip tie and screen will work but, it looks like, Well, A zip tie and screen. Where can someone get a replacement CVT screen thingy?

The CVT gasket itself does nothing except reduce vibration noise IMHO A bead of high heat silicone or gasket sealer works better.
