Hello Everyone, Just a quick question. I ordered a 50cc scooter and the centerstand was not installed. That darn spring is very strong and I can't seem to get it on. I'm a lady so I guess I am just not strong enough. I am wondering, is it normal for the centerstand not to be installed? Great company I ordered from, so I don't want to mention the name but just wondering if this is somewhat normal? I did not think so, but maybe I am wrong. Wishing Everyone a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!! Tonya

The CFMoto Glory, for one, comes with the center stand off. It's tricky...and it involves using a big screwdriver...and some luck.

hi tonya!! you again??LOL just kidding...lol re-installing a centerstand tension spring is pretty tough... you will need a long nose pliers to grab the end part of the spring(c-shape) and push downward, ,you need a tremendous amount of muscle power to do this... another way is by using a long screw driver(long, cuz it give more leverage and easier to tilt). insert the tip of the screw driver into the end part of the spring(c-shape) ,,now set the tip of the screw driver to the spring holder(attched to the center stand) then gradually push the screw driver downward until the spring slide down and snug to the spring holder. ...dunno if i explained it properly but at least i gave you a little idea.....whew!! it's hard to speak english,my nose bleeds everytime i speak english..LOL i will say this again,,if i only live near you, i won't think twice in helping you with your problem,,,i mean scoot problem.....good luck!!

The famous phrase "Some Assembly Required". Don't feel bad I had a hard time with the spring to. When I did manage to get it on the hook straightened out and the spring went flying across the drive into the neighbors yard.

Finally built a spring expander out of two pieces of 1/4inch x 1/2inch x 2 feet long bars. I then ground a small hook on the end of each. Then I drilled a 1/4 inch hole 7 inches from end on wide side of each. Bolted the two together. If I would have done that earlier would have saved me a half hour of cussing and 10 minutes looking for the flying spring.
